Vishal is a most-wanted action hero in the Tamil film industry. His recent release, ‘Veeramar Vaagai Soodum’, received a good response from the audience. He is currently working on the upcoming films: ‘Laththi’, ‘Mark Antony’ and his debut directorial, ‘Thupparivalan 2’.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, the court issued an order in the case between Vishal Film Factory and Lyca Productions. It is reported that Vishal had taken a loan from Anbu Chezhiyan for a film being produced under his banner and the actor has asked Lyca to repay the loan.
Lyca Productions had repaid Vishal’s loan and the production house initiated a lawsuit against the actor as he hadn’t settled the amount to them. The lawsuit sought an injunction restraining the sale of satellite and OTT rights of the movie, ‘Veerame Vagai Soodum’, without repaying the loan obtained from Lyca.
The case came up for hearing today and the High Court has ordered actor Vishal to pay a fixed deposit of INR 15 crores within three weeks at the end of the trial. The court adjourned the case, ordering the submission of a receipt for the payment within three weeks.
