Ajith or Vijay? – Veteran actor Mohan openly declares who is current Superstar

Veteran actor Mohan who ruled the Tamil film industry as the number one star in the eighties still has a huge fan following.  In most of the hundred odd films he acted in he played soft characters and at the same time did not hesitate to experiment with character and villain roles even at he peak of his career.

It is an undisputed fact that at one period of time Mohan even surpassed Superstar Rajinikanth in both popularity as well as box office returns.  Today there is a general perception that both the reigning stars Ajith and Vijay have also done the same.

It is debated as to who is the next Superstar of Tamil cinema with both Ajith and Vijay supporters claiming that it is their hero.  The social media fans war has intensified multifold especially in connection with the box office clash of Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ and Ajith’s ‘Thunivu’ on January 11th.

At a recent press meet Mohan was asked the question to which he gave a pretty straightforward replied.  He stated that right from his time till today many have challenged the position but only one legend stays constant and that is Rajinikanth.  He asserted that the title permanently belongs to his contemporary and no one can take it away from him.

Mohan after a very long gap is currently starring as hero in a new movie titled ‘Haraa’ directed by Vijay Shri G.  Khushbu is paired opposite him in the action thriller which is expected to release in the first quarter of this year.
