Mansoor Ali Khan, President of India Jananayaka Puligal party, was forced to resign in an emergency meeting. While the India Allina led by Congress and the BJP-led alliance are still in the campaign stage, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi creating a stir for the Bharatiya Janata Party in view of the Lok Sabha elections. The unrest in the Tamil Nadu political map is created by Sarathkumar's action of merging the All India Samathuva Makkal Party with the BJP.

Following a visit to the AIADMK headquarters, Mansoor Ali Khan aligned with key AIADMK figures, leading to his removal as party president. The general secretary, Kannadasan, now wields presidential powers. Mansoor AliKhan's demotion has stirred widespread speculation.

In Chennai, Mansoor AliKhan brushed off questions in a very cryptic style at a press conference over the BJP alliance with Sarath Kumar. He dismissively shrugged that one away by saying that those are rumors and that they will not budge from his party. Mansoor Alikhan's sacking has fueled massive political tensions.
