In the trailer for 'Acharya', the religious imagery is purposive. It's all-encompassing. The language of animistic religion is writ large. River is 'Holy' and the forest is 'Divine'. Naturally, the people inhabiting the land between them have to be blessed.

The blessed people are protected by the supernatural. In the Koratala Siva directorial, God takes the form of Comrade Acharya (Megastar Chiranjeevi), who literally gets worshipped by the beleaguered residents of Padaghatam.

Sonu Sood plays a negative role in this action drama, where Ram Charan's Siddha believes that pacificism is not for the people of Dharmasthali. While the fate of Siddha is not known, it appears that Acharya steps in when things get out of hand.

In this action-heavy trailer, the punchline is a far cry. But one surely finds Chiru's warning to a baddie about which leg might have to be amputated surely takes the cake.

More than Mani Sharma's music, Thiru's cinematography makes its presence felt. The film has fights by the Ram-Lakshman duo and Vijay. Suresh Selvarajan's production design (the temple set is vivid) and the costumes by Sushmita Konidela, Rajesh Kamarsu are uplifting. Ramajogayya Sastry, Bhaskarabhatla, Ananth Sriram, Kalyan Chakravarthi have penned the lyrics. Dance choreography is by Sekhar VJ, Dinesh, Prem Rakshith.

The film hits the screens on April 29.
