Aamir Khan gets trolled for a ‘stupid decision’

Aamir Khan is in for much trolling on social media.  Have people been told that he is going to make a sequel to the insufferable ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’?  Maybe even that wouldn’t have piqued folks so much.  What has frustrated them is that the Bollywood superstar is all set to remake the Hollywood classic ‘Forrest Gump’.  Although this was waiting to happen, the news becoming official has made it all the more bothersome. 

Now, ‘Forrest Gump’ is a classic.  It’s one of the all-time best movies ever.  The ‘Dangal’ actor will be playing the protagonist in the Bollywood adaption of the movie as ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’.

“I am sure they will keep a few songs and an item number in the movie,” a Twitter user said.  “Someone whom I once revered and now turned out to be meh will be starring in the Hindi remake of the classic. I don’t understand why Bollywood needs to take a Hollywood classic and remake it with a desi tadka? Just let it be,” another user said.  Many are of the view that Aamir has made a stupid decision.  

Directed by Advait Chandhan, the remake will hit the screens for Christmas next year.
