G.V. Prakash shares adorable photo of his grandmother and pays emotional tribute

Isaipuyal A.R. Rahman’s mother Kareema Begum passed away today after battling age-related ailments for the past one year.  The Oscar Winner had cut down on his work especially ones that involved traveling so that he could spend the maximum time with his mother with whom he was very close.

G.V. Prakash has paid rich tribute to his grandmother Kareema Begum by posting an adorable pic of her with a crown on her head and captioning it “Always our queen”.  The other grandchildren of the departed soul including Bhavani Sre, A.R. Ameen and Raheema Rahman are also seen in the photo.

Kareema Begum whose husband Sekhar passed away when Rahman and his three sisters were just school going kids brought them up single handed.  She has been the backbone of Rahman reaching the heights in film music career winning international recognition.
