Studio Green Gnanavel Raja's official statement on 300 crore fraud case!

One of the top producers of Kollywood, KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green who has been producing and distributing movies since 2006 has been summoned by court in connection with a Rs. 300 Crores fraud case. Ramanathapuram Police have filed a case against Neethimani, Menaka and Anand, for cheating a person Thulasi Manikandan of Rs. 300 Crores, and have mentioned Gnanavel Raja's involvement in the case.
Ramanathapuram Bazaar Police have issued summons to Gnanavel Raja to appear in person on July 24th, and the producer filed a plea in the Chennai High Court to give him permission to appear in the questioning via video conferencing, due to the pandemic situation.
Gnanavel Raja counsel, during the hearing argued that he has no connection with the case and that his name was not in the FIR. The counsel added that Police had have wrongly quoted 3 crores as Rs. 300 Crores. However after hearing, the Judge ordered Gnanavel Raja to appear in person at the Ramanathapuram Bazaar Police Station on August 7. Following this, KE Gnanavel Raja's lawyer has issued a statement that Gnanavel Raja will take legal action against people spreading wrong news reports claiming his involvement in the fraud case and that defamation suits will be filed against people dragging KE Gnanavel Raja's name into the case.
