ZEE5, the most-happening OTT platform, has unveiled a never-heard-before content slate. At an event named 'Hooked' held in Hyderabad, the streaming giant revealed the details of its upcoming 11 originals in the presence of star director Harish Shankar, acclaimed filmmaker Praveen Sattaru, star writer Kona Venkat, Niharika and Sushmita Konidela.

As is known 'Recce', a village-based factional murder mystery, is going to be streamed from June 17. Then there are other originals that are coming up.

'Maa Neella Tank’ is touted to be a village-based rom-com starring A Sushanth in the lead. Harish Shankar-backed 'ATM' is yet another original. A heist comedy, it also features Subbaraju, Prudhvi and VJ Sunny. ‘Aha Nee Pellanta’, a fun romantic show of a man’s failed attempt at finding a spouse, stars Raj Tarun in the lead.

'Hello World!' is targeted at youths. "It is based on the life and trials of a group of youngsters on the cusp of their careers in the prominent IT sector of Hyderabad," the makers stated.

Then there is 'Mission Tashaffi', which is a spy drama. 'Paruvu', 'Bahishkarana', 'The Black Coat', 'Prema Vimanam' and 'Hunting of the Stars' have also been made official.

Speaking on the occasion, Manish Kalra, Chief Business Officer, ZEE5 India, said, “The response from the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana region has been encouraging and we did foresee a growing appetite for Telugu content worldwide."

Anuradha Gudur, Chief Content Officer – Telugu, added that, through web shows like 'Oka Chinna Family Story', ZEE5 has managed to tap into the innately inclusive Telugu cultural mindset. "Our mission is to replicate this success on ZEE5, and we are excited to collaborate with some of the most popular creators and prolific talent to narrate 11 new original stories and iconic movies as part of our fresh content slate," she added.

Content from other languages is also going to be presented. The epic Mughal tale 'Taj' features Naseeruddin Shah and Aditi Rao Hydari. 'The Broken News' features Sonali Bendre. 'Rangbaaz' is a political thriller.

It was also revealed that ZEE5 has also acquired Nikhil Siddhartha's 'Karthikeya-2' and Prasanth Varma's 'Hanu-Man'.
