YSR’s biopic: Lead actor found, Suriya is not in

 

It’s known that Mahi Raghav of ‘Anando Brahma’ fame is currently writing YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s biopic.  The news is that the director has confirmed to a national daily that Malayalam star Mammootty will essay the role of the late Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh.

Mahi has met with the Mollywood heavyweight and has posted a pic clicked with him. “It’s Truly an HONOUR sir. Humbled and Grateful for the opportunity,” Mahi posted on Twitter.

With Mammootty coming on board, the actor’s big Tollywood moment has arrived.

There are rumours that Nayanthara has been roped in to play Vijayamma, the wife of YS, in the biopic.  Mahi has refuted them.

He has also said that there is no truth in the gossip that Kollywood star Suriya will play YS Jagan.  Scripting is almost done.  The film will be bankrolled by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy.
