YSRCP MLA’s men attack TDP candidate, tension ensues

In an early incident of poll violence, a clash broke out on Saturday between the activists of TDP and YSRCP in Kurnool district’s Mantralayam.  

When TDP’s MLA candidate Thikka Reddy went to Khaggal village to a campaign, the supporters of Bala Nagi Reddy, the village’s sitting YSRCP MLA, attacked him with weapons. 

The police tried to disperse the attackers but to no avail.  Left with no option, Thikka Reddy’s gunman shot four rounds in the air to scare away the attackers.  

Thikka Reddy has suffered injuries in the attack.  He was seen bleeding on the road.
