You tore apart J&K unilaterally: Rahul Gandhi
Send us your feedback to audioarticles@vaarta.com
Outgoing Congress President Rahul Gandhi has on Tuesday unequivocally criticized the Narendra Modi government for bifurcating Jammu & Kashmir. He said that the same is going to have deleterious consequences for the security of India.
"National integration isn’t furthered by unilaterally tearing apart J&K, imprisoning elected representatives and violating our Constitution. This nation is made by its people, not plots of land. This abuse of executive power has grave implications for our national security," RaGa tweeted out.
The Congress party has in the Parliament opposed the Union Home Minister Amit Shah's resolution to water down Article 370, which pertains to special status to J&K. As a consequence, the Grand Old Party has come in for much criticism from those sections who are vehemently in favour of the abrogation of the controversial, outdated and illiberal Article.
