As far as Tamil cinema is concerned, Yogibabu is currently the hot favorite of fans who love his timing comedy.   After both Vadivelu and Santhanam opted to play only lead characters it was Yogi Babu who filled the space and has cemented his place as the go to comedian.

The notable thing about Yogi Babu is that he strikes an amazing balance in his career by costarring  with leading heroes like Rajini, Ajith,Vijay, Sivakarthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathi and also playing the protagonist in comedy and as well as serious films.  His non comedic acting in the super hit film ‘Mandela’ directed by Madonne Ashwin was critcially acclaimed.  His upcoming films include ‘Valimai’, ‘Beast’, ‘Kadaisi Vivasayi’, ‘Ayalaan’, ‘Bommai Nayagi’ and ‘Kasethaan Kadavulada’.

Now the super hot news doing the rounds in Kollywood is that Yogi Babu has signed on to play a new romantic movie in which he is reportedly pairing with Lakshmi Menon.  The film is said to be directed by debutante Murugesh Boopathi and will tell the story of the unlikely love between the two entirely different hero and heroine.  The official announcement is expect soon.

Meanwhile Lakshmi Menon, made her Tamil film debut with ‘Kumki’ and starred in super hit movies such as ‘Sundarapandian’, ‘Pandyanadu’, ‘Jigarthanda’, ‘Komban’, ‘Rekka’ and ‘Vedalam’.   She then took a long break from films to complete her higher studies and returned in 2020 the direct to television film ‘Pulikkuthi Pandi’ directed by Muthaiah and costarring Vikram Prabhu.
