The much-awaited trailer of Yash-starrer ‘Toxic’ has finally been unveiled, offering audiences an extended glimpse into the film’s dark and ambitious world. Breaking away from the usual trend of keeping theatrical trailers close to the two-minute mark, the ‘Toxic’ trailer runs for more than four minutes and showcases the film’s massive scale, elaborate production design and intense characters.
The film has been in production for more than two years, with the makers previously emphasizing that its expansive world and ambitious visual canvas required considerable time. The newly released trailer appears to justify that wait, presenting a visually rich universe filled with elaborate sets, action sequences and a dark gangster backdrop.
The trailer opens with Yash’s character Raya alongside a child before gradually introducing the film’s prominent female characters, played by Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. Each character appears to have a significant role in the story, though the trailer carefully avoids revealing their complete connections to Raya.
As the trailer progresses, Raya’s violent, ruthless and ambitious side comes to the forefront. The narrative then takes an intriguing turn with the introduction of another version of Yash’s character, reportedly portraying Raya’s son. This sequence hints at a deeper emotional conflict within the gangster-driven narrative, with a possible father-son confrontation emerging as one of the film’s central elements.
Interestingly, despite its lengthy runtime, the ‘Toxic’ trailer does not give away the complete storyline. Instead, it concentrates on establishing the film’s atmosphere, characters and expansive world. The action blocks, production design and darker portrayal of Raya dominate the trailer, leaving several questions unanswered ahead of the theatrical release.
Directed by Geethu Mohandas, ‘Toxic’ is produced by Yash and KVN Productions. The film is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on August 26, 2026, and the trailer has further heightened expectations for what promises to be one of Yash’s most ambitious films yet.
