Actress Yashika met with a car accident couple of weeks earlier on East Coast Road near Mahabalipuram. While her friend Vallisetty Pavani lost her life on the spot, Yashika and her friends were severely injured and are currently at the hospital.

Many of her fans and co-actors took to Twitter and wished her a speedy recovery. Yashika also underwent several operations for multiple fractures in her body. Now a latest picture of Yashika from the hospital has surfaced on the internet. In this picture, she can be seen lying on the bed with her strapped right leg rested over a couple of pillows.

While many spread rumours that she was drunk during the time of the accident the 'Zombie' actress took to her social media to clarify the speculations. She wrote" Law is same for everyone. For all the cheap people who have been spreading rumours about me being intoxicated while driving let me tell u that police confirmed we weren't drunk at all. An if I was I would have been behind the bars and not in hospital! Fake people spreading fake news has been going on from so long. But it's a sensitive issue. Hope u show some humanity and show some grief towards her! Even the doctor reports would say the same! These fake media channel spreading fake news for sake of viewers and subscribers! Shame on u! I've filed a defamation case already for ruining my name 2 years back. But these people can go any extent for sake of gossip".

The Mahabalipuram police have registered a case under two sections of the IPC - Section 279 (rash driving or driving on a public way) and Section 304A (causing death by negligence) - and are investigating the accident
