Vijay Deverakonda has broken his silence on the box-office disaster called 'World Famous Lover'. The actor gave a lockdown-time, video interview to Rajeev Masand, the senior film journalist. He didn't mince words in saying that the film's execution was messed up.
"The film was amazing on paper. But we fuc*ed it up as far as the execution is concerned. I was excited when I had heard the story," Deverakonda confesses.
The romantic drama, directed by Kranthi Madhav, hit the screens on February 14. The 'Arjun Reddy' actor's fans were disappointed that he tried to chew more than what he could swallow, especially in the second half of the movie.
What does VD think about 'Dear Comrade', which too was a flop? "The story completely flips in the second half and people were not prepared for it," he adds in the interview, suggesting that the Bharat Kamma-directed movie might have failed to sell itself well.
