Will Dhanush take up direction anytime soon? Find out

During a Twitter Spaces interaction, actor Dhanush talked about whether he will take up direction anytime soon. Fans asked him about his willingness to wield the megaphone in the immediate future. And the director answered saying that he has no immediate plans for the reason that he is getting to work with exciting directors these days.

The ‘Raghuvaran B.Tech’ actor named the likes of Mari Selvaraj, Ram and Karthik Subbaraj of Kollywood. He also revealed that he had recently met three young, talented directors and therefore wants to capitalize on the young talents.

Dhanush made it clear that he doesn’t see himself helming any project for the next 3 years. ‘Power Paandi’ in 2017 marked Dhanush’s directorial debut. 

On the work front, ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ is his next release. To be streamed on Netflix from June 18, the film also features James Cosmo, Joseph George, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Kalaiyarasan, Joju George and others. It’s directed by Karthik Subbaraj. 

With music by Santhosh Narayanan, the film is set in Madurai and London. It’s the biggest direct OTT release from Tamil this year. The film will stream in Telugu as well.
