Why Jr NTR, Ram Charan have cast their egos aside

‘Roudram Ranam Rudhiram’ will hit the screens tomorrow (Friday). And Jr NTR and Ram Charan have been lauded by Netizens for shedding their egos to promote the movie in a spirit of ‘statesmanship’.

Were ego clashes expected or what? What explains the unprecedented display of camaraderie by two contemporary Telugu star heroes? It’s a no-brainer that ‘RRR’ has to be promoted relentlessly across languages. The careers of Tarak and Charan are undisputed in Tollywood. However, in Hindi, they are just starting out. If ‘RRR’ nets massive moolah in Hindi, for the next few years, the two heroes will sit back and see their remunerations flourish like anything. Ask Allu Arjun, whose ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ has catapulted him to the heights of glory.

There is another reason why the Tarak-Charan duo is naturally friendly. They have known each other for many years. Their friendship is healthy and the same is seeping through every single genuine remark that they are making in interviews about each other. As Rajamouli has said, their bonhomie pervades their onscreen chemistry in ‘RRR’ as well. 

There is nothing sensational about the whole camaraderie, there is nothing selfless about the egoless promotions. It’s an outcome of years of friendship and of course, lots of self-interest.
