Vunnadi Okate Zindagi boasts of a break-up song that is claimed to be different. But lyrically, it's a case of been-there-done-that. The sad lover falls back on things as mundane as a poor restaurant and a misleading teaser. Even China pieces and the trauma of living through a dry day are not spared. If they think this is unheard-of songwriting, someone has clearly set the bar too low.
Devi Sri Prasad here had his task cut out. As the song's voice, he becomes an enhanced version of Sagar. The sad lover's morose mood is well captured by his mildly buoyant voice.
The tune is not new, although the DSP-style verve makes it striking. Since the hero says, 'Step eh ledu', the song doesn't have dance moves perhaps and so, the beats are understated.
Ram will be seen as a passionate guitarist in this rom-com. Anupama Parameswaran and Lavanya Tripathi are the heroines.
The film releases on Oct 27th.
