Jana Sena has received a terrible, crushing drubbing at the hustings. The fledgling party went to the polls with just Pawan Kalyan as its sole mascot. Power Star's charm offensive, many believed, would help his party win at least 10 seats. Forget seats, even the vote share (something like 5% or so) is humiliating.

What next for Pawan Kalyan? Will he continue to be a full-time politician? Will he question the soon-to-be-formed YSRCP government with more vigour?

What he shouldn't do is very clear. Do NOT go back to movies. Pawan has always said that he is in politics for a 25-year mission. Commendable words. The time is now for him to follow what he has been saying for more than one year.

Had he not gone back to doing (mediocre) movies after 2014, Jana Sena might have done much better today. But he did a blunder by doing nothing much for more than 3.5 years after forming the Jana Sena. If he wants to remain an actor-cum-politician even now, Pawan should be prepared for the worst.
