[PICTURES] KXIP’s Nicholas Pooran gets engaged to girlfriend

West Indies batsman and KXIP star Nicholas Pooran has gained fans across India following his stint in the 13th edition of Indian Premier League held at UAE. 

Much to the delight of his well wishers, Pooran announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Alyssa Miguel via a post on Instagram. Sharing a picture from the engagement, Pooran captioned his post, “God has blessed us with a great blessing. I am glad to announce that @kathrina_miguel and I got engaged. Love you Migz.️ I got you.” Alyssa posted a couple of pictures on her Instagram page as well. She had written, “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Ecclesiastes 3:11. Being loved by you is a blessing I thank God everyday for. Love you @nicholaspooran.” The West Indies cricketer had a spectacular tournament despite KXIP not making it to the playoffs. With 353 runs in 14 matches, Pooran was Punjab’s third-highest run-scorer in the season. He also amazed the spectators with his incredible fielding and long sixes.

Pooran is currently in New Zealand to take part in West Indies’ 3-match T20I series against the country. Congratulating the batsman and his fiancee, Nicholas Pooran’s teammate and SRH’s all-rounder Jason Holder wrote, “Man oh man. LOVE is pure! Congrats to you both.” KXIP teammate Mandeep Singh extended his warm wishes to the couple as well. “Congrats Nicky paaji!” he wrote.
