Wife elopes with lover, husband gets revenge

A man allegedly ended up killing three men after finding out about his wife’s illicit affair with another man of the locality. The incident happened on July 17 in the city of Maheshtala of West Bengal.

After realizing that his wife had eloped with her paramour, the accused rushed to his wife’s lover’s relatives’ place and laid a live electric wire outside the building before setting their clothes, left outside for drying, on fire. When the residents tried to get out of the apartment to put out the fire, three men stepped on the live wire, leading to them getting electrocuted. They were immediately rushed to the Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital, where they breathed their last. Six other family members also suffered severe burns, according to reports.

The accused was spotted by the locals at the Akra railway station after fleeing the spot. They brutally beat him up before he was arrested by the police. A case has been registered and an investigation is in progress.
