‘War 2’ Creates History: Fastest Indian Film to Cross $100K in North American Pre-Sales

The anticipation surrounding YRF Spy Universe’s War 2 has reached fever pitch as the film sets a new benchmark in the North American market. The highly awaited Hrithik Roshan–NTR Jr starrer has created history by becoming the fastest Indian film to cross USD 100,000 in advance ticket sales.

What makes this achievement even more remarkable is the speed at which it happened — War 2 accomplished this milestone in just seven hours, breaking the previous record held by NTR Jr’s own Devara, which took 11 hours and 37 minutes earlier this year.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film brings together Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr for the first time, with Kiara Advani joining the cast as the female lead. As part of Yash Raj Films’ expansive Spy Universe, War 2 is being positioned as the biggest Indian film of 2025.

The makers have maintained a “less is more” approach, keeping the storyline and key moments under tight wraps to ensure audiences experience the full thrill on the big screen.

War 2 is slated for a grand release on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, just ahead of India’s Independence Day. With this record-breaking start in North America, expectations are sky-high for its worldwide box office performance.
