Days after describing Nathuram Godse as a real patriot, Naga Babu has said that he would like the Indian state to commemorate great freedom fighters other than Gandhi on currency notes.
“I wish to see Subash Chandra Bose, Ambedkar, Bhagat Singh, Chandrasekhar Azad, Lal Bahadur Shastri, PV Narasimha Rao, Abdul Kalam, Savarkar and Vajpayee on currency notes. I don’t want people to forget the great nation-builders. Had Gandhi been alive, he would have wanted every freedom fighter to be honoured this way. Many of us don’t remember their faces. It’s necessary to introduce them to the future generations,” the Mega brother wrote on Twitter.
His recent pro-Godse statements triggered V Hanumantha Rao, the Congress leader. The veteran warned him in a video message.
