Actor Vishal's latest film 'Irumbuthirai' won enormous critical acclaim when it released on May 10, 2018. It's been more than a month and the film directed by P.S.Mithran is still running on many screens across Tamil Nadu.

Now the trade has declared that the film has turned out yo be the First Blockbuster of the year as it has fetched Rs.61 cross as gross collection all over. 

From Tamil Nadu theatricals, the film has collected Rs.26.25 crores which includes Rs.5.71 crores from Chennai. Rs.3.2 crores has been received from Kerala and the other parts of India. Overseas revenue fetched by the film has been calculated as Rs.11.5 crores. The film was dubbed and released in Telugu and it has fetched Rs.19.6 crores from Andhra Pradesh.  

The film's worldwide rights was sold for Rs.17.5 crores and it has fetched an overal distributors' share of Rs.26 crores. 

'Irumbuthirai' starred Vishal, Samantha and Arjun Sarja in important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja provided the music score.
