Vishal’s decision to contest the RK Nagar bypolls has triggered ferocious criticism from Cheran who conducted a dharna at the TFPC premises demanding his resignation as the President of the council. Vishal has come out strongly in reply to Cheran stating that though he had immense respect for the director, of late he is resorting to cheap publicity stunts which is pitiable.
Vishal in his long letter has said that he is contesting the elections to become a strong voice for the people and there is no law that a office bearer in unions should not do so. He has also condemned Cheran’s view that the state government will turn against the film industry due to his decision which he says belittles the previous governments and office bearers.
Vishal closing his letter has sent out a strong warning to Cheran that if he does not stop his petty behaviour he will have to face severe action by the Council rules.
