Cricketing great Virendra Sehwag got married to his wife Aarti in 2004 and the couple have two sons Aryavir and Vedanta. The couple run many businesses including the Sehwag International School. Aarti Sehwag has lodged a complaint with the police stating that her business partners at SMGK Argo Export had illegally obtained a loan of 4.5 Crores from another company.
In the FIR it is stated that the said persons had used Virender Sehwag’s name without his permission to gain credibility and have also forged Aart’s signature and had released two post-dated cheques. The cheating came to light when the loan was not repaid and the credit company filed a case in court and during the inquiry it came to light that Aarti’s signatures were forged on the cheques. The accused have been booked under sections 420 (cheating and dishonestly), 468 (forgery), 471 (using as genuine a forged document) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code
