Two Indian cricketers nominated for ‘ICC Player of the Decade’ award; Details

Indian skipper Virat Kohli and off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin are the only two players from India who have been nominated for the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Men’s Player of the Decade award in a list of seven players across the world.

Apart from Kohli and Ashwin, Joe Root (England), Kane Williamson (New Zealand), Steve Smith (Australia), AB de Villiers (South Africa), and Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka) are also nominated in the category. While Virat Kohli received the highest number of nominations for awards across formats, Rohit Sharma and former skipper MS Dhoni were named in two lists as well.
