'VIP-2' to release amid positive TN BO reports

Dhanush's 'VIP 2' (Tamil) has taken a huge opening in Chennai city, collecting over Rs.1.5 crores from theaters within the city limits in its first three days of release.
Moreover, the film has collected around Rs.12 crores in its first weekend. Chengalpet has contributed Rs.3.5 crores, Coimbatore theaters have collected Rs.1.8 crores, and the theaters in Thirunelveli and Kanyakumari districts have garnered Rs.53 lakhs.
Sreedhar Pillai, the senior commentator, says, "Trade sources indicate 27-30 Cr in 1st week due 2 holidays (Krishnashtami and Independence Day)."
The release date of the Telugu version is yet to be announced officially. The Telugu version will be coming amid a positive BO wave in Tamil Nadu.
