Ahead of the theatrical release of 'Bimbisara' on August 5, a new song from the film was released. Titled 'Vijayaho', the MM Keeravaani composition has lyrics by Chaitanya Prasad. Hemachandra, Sai Charan, Lokesh, Arun Koundinya, Raghuram, Harika Narayan, Nayana Nair, Poornima, Sri Soumya, and Gomathi have rendered the majestic song that has the composer marshal his Baahubali-style creativity.
Nandamuri Kalyanram, who has played the titular role, is seen commanding fear and respect with his sheer intimidating presence. He slays enemies on the battlefield and expects everyone to be at his beck and call.
The socio-fantasy time-travel actioner is directed by newcomer Vassishta. "In the film, Bimbisara is both a hero and a villain. And even the climax doesn't say what exactly he is. For that, you will have to wait for the second part. No man is completely non-violent. Bimbisara, the character, reflects human complexity," Kalyanram recently told IndiaGlitz.
Co-starring Samyuktha Menon, Catherine Tresa, Srinivas Reddy and Prakash Raj, the film has cinematography by Chota K Naidu. Produced by NTR Arts, the film's early premieres will be held in the Telugu States on the release date.
