Following the massive success of Bigil, Vijay is currently busy with the shoot of the untitled Thalapathy 64, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Meanwhile, rumours regarding the director of Vijay’s next project, Thalapathy 65, has been doing the rounds, and director Perarasu is considered one of the top contenders.
Perarasu, in a recent interview with actor Manobala, opened up regarding the same. Stating that movies like Thirupaachi will not work with the current set of audience, Perarasu has mentioned that he has a tailor-made script for Vijay and he is only awaiting the actor’s nod to the project. He further added that his previous movies with Vijay happened unexpectedly, but he is expecting ‘Thalapathy 65’ to happen. Whether or not Vijay will agree to work with the director again is yet to be known.
Vijay and director Perarasu have earlier worked in two films, Thirupaachi and Sivakasi. Both of these films emerged successful commercially.
