Vijay Sethupathi is one of the few Tamil actors with a wide fanbase all over India. The Bollywood audience became familiar with him after he starred in the Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Farzi’ series and became the villain to Shah Rukh Khan in director Atlee’s ‘Jawan’.
Meanwhile, it is already known that Vijay Sethupathi joined hands with the highly acclaimed director Sriram Raghavan for the romantic thriller ‘Merry Christmas,’ co-starring Katrina Kaif. The maker is famous for the neo-noir thriller ‘Badlapur’ and the dark comedy thriller ‘Andhadhun’. Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures have jointly bankrolled this upcoming flick.
Vijay Sethupathi broke the internet just now by announcing that Merry Christmas will hit the screens worldwide on 15th December 2023. He unveiled posters in Hindi and Tamil on his social media handles. Merry Christmas is scheduled to release in Hindi and Tamil. Notably, it marks the first direct film in Tamil for Katrina Kaif and Sriram Raghavan. Pritam is scoring the music.
The film has been shot in two languages, with different supporting actors. The Hindi version co-stars Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand while the Tamil version has Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams in the same roles. Ashwini Kalsekar and Radhika Apte are seen in exciting cameos.
