Vijay Sethupathi urges swift action against sex offenders

Vijay Sethupathi in the much awaited ‘Super Deluxe’ directed by Thiagarajan Kumaraja plays a transgender for the first time in his career and also the first top hero to do that in Tamil cinema history.  A promotional press interaction for the film which releases on March 29th was held in which the affable VJS fielded questions.

He was asked about the burning Pollachi sex abuse case in which four men have been arrested for sexual crimes against reportedly a 100 women and a video of one young girl begging them to spare her became public on the internet.  Vijay Sethupathi lamented that even a small child knows that the men are guilty and should have been punished by now.  He also said that he could not bear to even watch or hear the video of the girl and added that saying women are to be blamed for the crimes is unacceptable.
