Thalapathy Vijay's new movie 'Thalapathy 66' is produced jointly by Dil Raju, Shirish, Prasad V Potluri and Pearl V Potluri. Director Vamsi Paidipally recently completed a shooting schedule in Chennai.
The news is that the film will hit the screens for Sankranthi next year.
Starring Rashmika Mandanna as the heroine, the bilingual features an ensemble cast: Senior Tamil actor Prabhu, versatile star hero Sarathkumar, versatile character artist Prakash Raj, Srikanth (who is currently doing RC15 as well), yesteryear star actress Jayasudha and Kollywood comedian Yogi Babu have joined the cast.
'Kick' fame Shaam and Sangeetha Krish (recently seen in the song 'Laahe Laahe' in 'Acharya') have also been recruited.
Music is by SS Thaman. Written also by Hari and Ashishor Solomon besides Paidipally himself, the film has cinematography by Karthick Palani. Sunil Babu and Vaishnavi Reddy, who have worked on a number of commercials, are on board to do production design.
