Tamil native Bollywood actress to be the female lead in Rajini-Ranjith film

It is a well known fact that, after completing work on '2.0', Superstar Rajinikanth will be teaming up with his blockbuster 'Kabali' director Pa.Ranjith for the second time. The shooting of the film that will be produced by Rajinikanth's son-in-law and actor Dhanush.

While the shooting of the film is expected to commence by May 2017, the team is on the look out for other cast and crew members including the heroine.

Sources reveal that Bollywood actress of Tamilian descent, Vidya Balan to play the female lead opposite Rajinikanth. It is said that the makers have met Vidya Balan and the 'Dirty Picture' has apparently show interest to be a part of the film. However the dates are yet to be worked out and only then the official confirmation can be expected.

The National Award winning actress' was earlier considered for the role played by Radhika Apte in 'Kabali' however it could not happen,

If Vidya Balan signs the Rajini-Ranjith project it will mark her official Kollywood debut.
