Vetrimaaran’s next with a Sivaji Ganesan – Rajinikanth connect?

Vetrimaaran fresh from bagging the National Award for Best Director for Dhanush’s  ‘Asuran’ is currently directing the film adaptation of Jeyamohan’s short story ‘Thunaivan’ starring Soori, Bhavani Sre and Vijay Sethupathi.

Reliable sources have informed us that Vetrimaaran is considering the title ‘Viduthalai’ for this project that marks the debut of Soori as a full-fledged hero.  Already a big budget action movie titled ‘Viduthalai’ released in the year 1986 and starred Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth and Vishnuvardhan in the lead roles.

Earlier too Vetrimaaran has changed the titles of his movies from the books he adapts and he named the film adaptation of ‘Lockup’ as ‘Visaranai’ and ‘Vekkai’ as ‘Asuran’.  Stay tuned for the official confirmation of the same.
