Venky’s sports drama set to go on floors

Remember that Saala Khadoos (Irudhi Suttru in Tamil) has to been sought to be remade in Telugu with Venkatesh as the hero.  This news came about even before the release of the Hindi and Tamil versions.  Written by Sudha Kongara, the Tamil version starred Madhavan in the lead role.

The news is that the Telugu version, yet to be titled, will go on the floors from the 2nd of September.  To be produced by the makers of the original, the film will be presented by Prasad V Potluri.

Except for Venkatesh, most of the cast and crew will be drawn from the original version.  Ritika Singh, who played Madhi, will reprise herself.  So also Mumtaz Sorcar, Nasser, Radha Ravi, Zakir Hussain, and Kaali Venkat, among others.

Music is by Santosh Narayanan of Kabali fame.  Cinematography is by Sivakumar Vijayan.  Art direction is by Santhanam.

After a film like Babu Bangaram, Venkatesh acting in a sports drama will be most welcomed by his fans.
