Venkatesh, Rana as enemies in web series ‘Rana Naidu’

In August this year, producer D Suresh Babu revealed that Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati would be seen in a web series. On Wednesday, the same was made official by the Venky-Rana duo. Commissioned by Netflix, this Locomotive Global Media product sees the two actors as enemies. The series is titled ‘Rana Naidu’.

“Always wanted to share the screen with my uncle the VICTORY VENKATESH and my dream is finally coming true. As much as I love him off-screen, in ‘Rana Naidu’ we are going to be at each other’s throats,” said the ‘Virata Parvam’ and ‘Aranya’ actor.

The ‘Narappa’ actor is playing Rana’s father in the show. It seems the ‘Bheemla Nayak’ actor has got a bigger role than Venky. “I have seen Rana grow up right in front of me from a young boy to a fine actor. But in Rana Naidu he better watch out,” the ‘Drushyam 2’ star tweeted. Written and directed by ‘Mirzapur’ fame Karan Anshuman and Suparn Varma, the multi-lingual series is an adaptation of the American crime drama ‘Ray Donovan’.
