Venkat Prabhu directs a “Big” film in between ‘Party’ and ‘Maanadu’

Venkat Prabhu has finished the shoot of his multistarrer ‘Party’ starring Jai, Shiva, Chandran, Jairam, Nassar, Sathyaraj, Regina Cassandra, Nivetha Pethuraj and Ramya Krishnan.  The film is in post production and will release soon.  The maverick director has also signed on to direct Simbu in ‘Maanadu’ which will go o floors in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile Venkat Prabhu has directed a short film ‘Masha Allah Ganesha’ which carries the tag “A Venkat Prabhu Big Short Film”.  The film reportedly deals with the sensitive issue of Dharavi Hindu-Muslim riots and has involved a lot of research.  Story is by R.T. Kumar, music by Premgi Amaran, cinematography by Viji , editing by Praveen KL and produced by actor Sampath Raj.  

The stars of ‘Masha Allah Ganesha’ include Sampath Raj, Arvnd Aakash, Subbu Panchu and Amma Creations T. Siva among others. The film will be streamed on VIU Tamil which was launched today.
