Varun Tej and Naga Babu to Share Screen for the First Time in Bhari

More than a decade after making his acting debut with Mukunda (2014), Varun Tej is finally set to share the screen with his father, Naga Babu, for the very first time. The much-awaited father-son collaboration will happen in the upcoming sports drama Bhari.

Although Varun Tej has featured in several successful multi-starrers, including F2: Fun and Frustration alongside Venkatesh, he has never acted with his father until now. That long-awaited moment is finally becoming a reality with Bhari.

Adding a personal touch to the project, the film is being produced by Niharika Konidela, making it a special family affair as she brings her father and brother together on screen for the first time.

Varun Tej confirmed the exciting news during a Zoom interaction with his fans in North America. Calling it a memorable milestone in his career, the actor expressed his excitement about working alongside his father.

Over the years, Naga Babu has played father and mentor roles to several young heroes in Telugu cinema. However, Bhari marks the first time he will be seen sharing screen space with his own son, making the film even more special for fans of the Mega family.

Directed by Yadu Vamsi, whose debut film Committee Kurrollu won the National Award for Best Telugu Film, Bhari is set against the backdrop of rural volleyball championships. The sports drama is expected to blend emotional family moments with an inspiring underdog story, making it one of the most anticipated upcoming Telugu films.
