Ajith Kumar fans are in celebration mode as ‘Thunivu’ has hit the big screens today. The highly awaited film opened at 1 AM IST across locations, and theatres were transformed into a festival arena with fans thronging in large numbers.
Now the unofficial number of the box office collection of both movies has arrived in style. Looks like the movie Thunivu has turned out to be the Pongal winner in Tamil Nadu and Varisu has gained more numbers in the India-wide collection list.
It is also notable that Team Thunivu” has the bragging rights for leading in Tamil Nadu while on the other hand “team Varisu” has a bigger all-India number, despite not having Telugu dubbed release.
Thalapathy Vijay’s family entertainer Varisu edged out Thala Ajith’s action film Thunivu. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, early estimates suggest that Varisu grossed Rs 26.5 crore on day one of release, across India while Thunivu grossed Rs 26 crore.
