There is a little over three weeks for the worldwide theatrical release of Thalapathy Vijay's 'Varisu' on Pongal 2023 (Reportedly on January 12th). Promotions are in full swing and are pretty intense since Vijay's arch professional rival Ajith Kumar's 'Thunivu' is also releasing on the same day.

The grand audio launch function of 'Varisu' is scheduled to be held at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on December 24th after 6 pm onwards. The set work for the stage is currently underway.

Meanwhile there are reports that major celebrities of the Indian film industry will attend the music launch of the 'Varisu'. It is said that Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan and Tollywood Super Star Mahesh Babu are likely to attend the function as special guests. It has already been reported that Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is directing Vijay's next film 'Thalapathy 67' and Atlee who will be directing 'Thalapathy 68' will grace the occassion. We will have to wait for a couple more days to confirm if these megastars are making their way to Chennai or there is any change in plans.

'Varisu' is direced by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju with Thaman scoring the music. Vijay and Rashmika are playing the lead pair supported by an ensemble cast that includes veterans Prabhu, Jayasudha, Sarathkumar, Shaam, Khushbu, S.J. Suryah, Prakash Raj, and Srikanth.
