Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who had last appeared in negative roles in movies like Sandakozhi 2 and Sarkar is set to have a happening year as she has more than 10 projects lined up in her kitty with most of them being female centric subjects as well.

Recently she began shooting for Kanni Theevu directed by Sundar Baalu who had earlier directed Trish's Gharjanai and this movie also stars Ashna Zaveri, Subiksha and Aishwarya Dutta and the movie's progressing at a rapid pace.

It has been revealed that the movie revolves around 4 girls residing in a housing board, who get together to help someone from trouble, only to get caught with a crocodile in a lake. How they escape from the crocodile forms the crux and Motta Rajendran plays the boatman who helps the girls as they're stuck in the lake.
