Veteran actor Vankayala Sathyanarayana passed away in Vizag earlier on Monday. The character artist did as many as 180 films in his long career . He had a brief stint in Tamil and Hindi as well.

'Seethamahalakshmi', 'Sootradharulu', 'Oorikicchina Maata', 'Ardhangi', 'Subhalekha', 'Shruti Layalu', and 'Vijetha' are some of his well-known movies. 'Karam Dosa' was his last movie.

He was also running a jewelry shop by name Vankayala Jewellers in Vizag.
