Actress Vanitha Vijayakumar married filmmaker Peter Paul on Saturday, June 27th with her daughters serving as bridesmaids in a private ceremony. However the very next day on Sunday Paul's first wife Elisabeth Helen lodged a police complaint at the Vadapalani station that the marriage took place without getting divorce from her. Vanitha later reacted that it is a bid on Elisabeth's part to extort money to the tune of one crore and that she and her husband would handle the issue legally.

In an exclusive interview with us Elisabeth Helen has made the shocking allegation that Peter Paul is an alcoholic and a womanizer and had been involved with at least three women in the past. She also let out that Peter Paul informed her and her family that the wedding with Vanitha was just for a film shooting and all the news coming out regarding it is fake.
