Suriya and Bala who have delivered two of the most memorable films in Tamil cinema history namely ‘Nandhaa’ and ‘Pitha Magan’ reunited after a long gap. The film was titled ‘Vanangaan’ which Suriya also produced under his banner 2D Entertainment. Top Tollywood actress Krithi Shetty was brought on board as the female lead.
However after 40 days of shooting in the Kanyakumari district and midsea in the Indian Ocean, filming was stopped after creative differences cropped between Suriya and Bala. After several months of speculation a few weeks back Bala officially announced that Suriya has been relieved from the project but he is continuing it. 2D Entertainment also made it official that its not a part of the project anymore.
It was initially reported that Bala was in talks to replace Suriya with Atharvaa in ‘Vanangaan’. However the latest hot update is that Arun Vijay has been approached and that he liked the script and is on the verge of signing the project. The official announcement is expected any time now.
Arun Vijay currently has ‘Borrder’ and ‘Agni Siragugal’ ready for release while he is shooting for ‘Accham Enbathu Illaye’ directed by Vijay in which Amy Jackson is playing the female lead.
