A video of a swimmer grabbing a shark from behind and holding its jaws open with his bare hands has gone viral on social media.
The 11-second video has been shared on Facebook by a woman named Rachel Foster. The spectators can be heard gasping at his fearless performance. The man was filmed at USA’s Cape Henlopen State Park Beach in the state of Delaware. While many people criticized that the swimmer’s act might be illegal, Rachel Foster pointed out in an updated post that he had not broken any rules as catching and releasing a shark was considered legal in the state. “For anyone commenting how this guy should have left the shark alone, or that this isn’t right you really need to educate yourself. He did this by the book and was totally legal with it. His buddy simply caught a shark. He went out, opened its mouth to get the hook out, then he went deeper into water turned the shark around and released it!” Foster had written.
The terrifying video was posted by the Facebook user on Sunday and it has garnered over 250,000 views on Facebook and TikTok combined.
