Bollywood actress and model Urvashi Rautela is no stranger to headlines, often drawing more attention for her bold statements and social media presence than her acting credits. Recently, she made waves by claiming to be the first “outsider” to star in a ?100 crore film, referencing her brief role in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s blockbuster Daaku Maharaaj, which reportedly grossed ?100 crore worldwide.
Now, Urvashi finds herself in the spotlight once again after her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2025, where some media outlets accused her of attempting to mimic Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and criticized her for lacking “charisma.”
Taking to Instagram to silence the noise, Urvashi addressed the comparisons directly. While she praised Aishwarya Rai as an industry icon, she firmly rejected any suggestion of imitation.
“I’m not a duplicate—I’m the blueprint,” she stated with trademark confidence.
Responding to remarks about her supposed lack of charm, she added:
“And charisma? Sweetheart, if you could measure it, I’d break the scale.”
Though often dismissed as a “drama queen” by some critics, Urvashi has carved out her own niche with high-energy item numbers in films like Skanda, Waltair Veerayya, and Agent. Her screen time in Daaku Maharaaj may have been limited, but she continues to stay relevant through strategic appearances and a strong social media presence.
Whether admired or criticized, Urvashi Rautela is clearly determined to define her own path—loudly, unapologetically, and entirely on her own terms.
