‘Uri strikes proved India’s intolerance to terrorism’

Speaking on the second anniversary of the 2016 surgical strikes across the LoC, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday hailed the armed forces for “adequately punishing” those wanting to spread terror.  “The strikes proved to the world that India will not tolerate terrorists,” she said.

It was a clear warning to Pakistan to behave or face consequences.  Incidentally, a film on the Uri strikes is being made in Bollywood.

Earlier today, the Defence Minister spoke on the Rafale row.  “I will make it clear in Parliament that I have responded to this query four times. I have given written responses too but the fact remains that, are you accepting those answers?” she asked the Opposition.
