Upasana starts a new journey as an MNC’s independent director

Zydus, one of India’s leading healthcare companies and a global healthcare provider, has onboarded Upasana Konidela as an Independent Director. The company wants to use her extensive experience in the healthcare industry in the coming years. The entrepreneur and philanthropist, who is Ram Charan’s wife, is elated.

Taking to Twitter, Upasana said that she is enjoying the journey as one of India’s youngest Independent Directors of a publicly listed company. “It’s an opportunity to use my strengths and background to enhance healthcare globally with the awesome Zydus Lifesciences team,” she added.

For those who don’t know, Zydus enjoys a market cap of Rs 476 billion. Upasana, thanks to the appointment, is hogging the limelight in the business world as one of the most dynamic independent directors in India of a publicly listed company.
