Upasana Konidela’s grand father passed away

K. Umapathy Rao, grand father of Upasana passed away on 27th May, 2020. She shared this update on Instagram and asked people to give their family strength to cope up with the loss.

Umapathy Rao was born in Damakonda Fort in the year 1928 and he was the first Executive officer of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam. He was a Urdu poet and retired IAS officer.

Upasana interviewed him on his 90 th birthday and posted it on her youtube channel too.

In his obituary, she wrote,

 “An Urdu Poet know for his Shayari & the first Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam was a strong believer in the religion of kindness & generosity. Our grandfather was a man of great principles, selflessness, generosity & sense of humor. His rich long life, achievements & many acts of kindness will be celebrated & remembered by all. Our humble request is for all of you to show your love with a smile rather than tears.Give us the strength to make his journey peaceful. Warm regards, Anushpala, Puansh, Ram Charan & Upasana. Satyjit, Agaja & Dimitri.”

We hope the family finds the strength to cope with the loss of such a pillar of strength.
